Modine offers three types of propeller* gas fired unit heater
solutions to cover a wide range of heating applications.

Power Vented
Blower models HDB (60,000 to 125,000 Btu/hr),  BDP (150,000 to 400,000 Btu/hr), and BTP (150,000 to 400,000 Btu/hr) are an economical choice for superior quality and dependability in most applications. Inexpensive to install and easy to use, these units feature the following:
• 82% thermal efficiency for fuel savings.
• Robust blower performance allows for high external static pressure applications with ductwork, polytube, and/or filters.
• Uses natural or propane gas (field convertible from natural to propane gas).
• The integral power exhauster allows for vertical or horizontal venting with the smallest diameter vent pipe possible.
• For applications requiring a low profile unit, the Hot Dawg unit heater (model HDB sizes 60-125) may be installed in residential or commercial applications just 1″ below the ceiling.

Separated Combustion
Blower models HDC (60,000 to 125,000 Btu/hr) and BTS (150,000 to 400,000 Btu/hr) draw 100% of its combustion air from outside to ensure that the unit will always have plenty of fresh, clean air to breathe. This fresh-air supply reduces common concerns about maintenance, performance, and durability in dusty, dirty, or humid applications. In addition, by drawing the combustion air from the outside, the overall heating efficiency is increased. In addition to what features the Power Vented units include, these units add:
• A sealed compartment protects the combination gas valve, ignition control, manifold, and burner from the environment.
• Horizontal or vertical two-pipe or concentric venting options.

Separated Combustion | High Efficiency Condensing
Up to 97% thermal efficiency, Modine’s Effinity (model BTC) condensing unit heater features the highest efficiency available in North America for commercial and industrial gas-fired unit heaters. This industry leading efficiency is a result of the coupling of our secondary heat exchanger technology with our robust tubular primary heat exchanger design. Some key features of these units include:

• The technology features a secondary recuperative heat exchanger fabricated from AL29-4C stainless steel. This material is superior to other lower grades of stainless steel and aluminum, resulting in outstanding ability to withstand the corrosive environment of condensing gas fired equipment.
• Available in three model sizes with input ranges from 215,000 to 310,000 Btu/Hr, Modine offers application flexibility unmatched in the industry.
• The separated combustion units draw combustion air from outside to ensure that       the unit will always have plenty of fresh, clean air for combustion while increasing the overall heating efficiency.
• Venting material used is PVC, an extremely cost effective vent system.
• Horizontal or vertical two-pipe or concentric venting options.
• Contractor Convenience Package featuring a condensate pump convenience outlet, unit on/off switch, heater function status indicator lights, and external terminals for thermostat wiring.
