An industry leader since Arthur B. Modine invented and patented the first lightweight, suspended hydronic unit heater in 1923, the Modine hydronic unit heater has proven one of the most popular of all unit-heater types in commercial and industrial applications. Designed for long heat-throw and uniform heat delivery, three types are offered:

Horizontal Delivery Units (Model HSB/HC)
• Recommended for use in buildings where ceilings are low and with few obstructions.
13 model sizes from 18,000 to 340,000 Btu/hr, based on 2 lb. steam, 60°F entering air
Supply and return connection flexibility with HSB models having top and bottom connections and HC models having side connections.
Copper tubes with mechanically bonded aluminum fins for maximum heat transfer performance.
Motors are totally enclosed with thermal overload protection.
• Low outlet temperature models for higher steam pressures or dirty atmospheres.

Horizontal Delivery Units (Lodronic™ Model HCH)
Specifically recommended for use with high efficiency boilers.
6 model sizes from 22,000 to 195,000 Btu/hr, based on 140°F entering water temperature, 60°F entering air.
Supply and return side connections.
Copper tubes with mechanically bonded aluminum fins for maximum heat transfer performance.
Motors are totally enclosed with thermal overload protection.
30% smaller footprint, 2.5x quieter, 50% less electric used, and 15% lighter.

Power-Throw™ High Velocity Horizontal Delivery Units (Model PT/PTN)
Recommended where there is a requirement for heat throw greater than can be provided by standard horizontal delivery models and for hard-to-heat areas, such as frequently opened loading dock doors or large warehouses.
6 model sizes from 279,000 to 952,000 Btu/hr, based on 2 lb. steam, 60°F entering air
Powerful, high velocity air delivery distributes heat over a wide area, can often replace several smaller units.
PT models have copper tubes while PTN models have copper/nickel tubes for high temperature (400°F water) and/or pressure (250psi steam) applications.
Low outlet temperature models for higher steam pressures or dirty atmospheres.

Vertical Delivery Units (Model V/VN)
Recommended for areas where ceilings are high or where obstructions do not permit good horizontal movement of air.
15 model sizes from 42,000 to 952,000 Btu/hr, based on 2 lb. steam, 60°F entering air.
V models have copper tubes while VN models have copper/nickel tubes for high temperature (400°F water) and/or pressure (250psi steam) applications.
Low outlet temperature models for higher steam pressures or dirty atmospheres.
Optional cone jet, truncone, or louver air deflectors for a variety of heat throw patterns.
